Alleitare

I just laid the blocks out at church. I don't have the room at home especially when they are set on point. I really like the colors.

Pics

Fronts

Not sure how to put two pics on same post so we will see. Sometimes the program will do it??
This is the front of the two bags. They are fun to do.

New projects

I saw this project on quilting arts and loved the idea. Bought some zippers and tried to get directions from Q.A. website but not happening. So just trial and error.  I  added a lining and I think since my strips were a little wider than those she used I would maybe fuse them first. Anyway I like them. I did not know what size hers were but I started with 7 inch squares. It took about 3 hours to make each one but I am slow.

Have finished the squares for BH and the pieced setting triangles. Was at the church on saturday so I could lay out the blocks. Found two with mistakes. What else is new?

Finally

I have just finished with clue 5 and could not resist putting together the two blocks
I really like the design and the colors. Can't wait to see it together.

On the way

I really love these blocks.  And they go together  so quickly.
Think I'll take a nap. Got some stuff out of attic for habitat and am exhausted.

New year committment

I am not sure that this new year will be any different than last but at least I don't have to think about a big trip.  I think with the state the world is in, I will stay in the USA.  Would not mind travelling to New England states and far western states but otherwise leave me here.

The BH mystery was revealed early last night and I really do like the design.  And it is on point which can make a big difference in the look of a design.  Not sure about the scalloped binding but I will give it a try.

I took some pictures of our church dressed for Christmas.

It is over 150 years old and I think it is beautiful every day.

I spent Christmas day with my husband's family and it was so wonderful because we had such a variety of ages there.  From my ancient age to my great nephew just born last April.
This was my favorite picture.  Even at 9 months this look just cracks me up.
I am wondering if it is a comment on the two teen-aged girls behind him.  He really liked the pottery piece I gave to his mother.
It has been a wonderful celebration of Christmas and I am lucky to be included in their family.

My brother and his wife spent Christmas in Wilmington with his oldest and his wife.  Then I joined the  youngest and his wife in Greenville on Sunday after Christmas for another celebration.
Finally the weather is cooler and Cecil and I will spend time trying to make the new gas logs work.
